Case Study · Medical E-Commerce
Spec sheets in.
A shoppable catalog out.
For SunMED Choice, a national supplier of compression garments and specialty medical products, I turned dense manufacturer documentation into complete, easy-to-follow product pages — and helped the team see how the store was performing.

The challenge
Getting the fit right — before the order is placed.
People buying compression wraps and liners usually need one exact configuration: the right size, the right length, sometimes the right color. Many are patients or caregivers, not clinicians, and many are paying with insurance.
Manufacturer literature is written for catalogs and care teams. My job was to translate it into product pages that answer a shopper’s questions on the page itself — what it is, what it does, which option to pick, and how to measure.
What I did
Six jobs behind every listing
Research
Worked through manufacturer literature to pin down what each product is, who it is for and how it is measured.
Writing
Wrote plain-language descriptions and feature lists a patient or caregiver can follow — not just a clinician.
Listings
Built product pages and filed them into the right categories and brand collections so they are easy to find.
Variations
Configured size, length and color options so every shopper can select the exact version they need.
Visual assets
Added manufacturer photography and sizing charts right where buyers make their choice.
Reporting & IT
Summarized site analytics in simple charts for the company and partnered with its IT contact on site functionality.

Anatomy of a product page
The Jobst Farrow Basic Lower Leg Wrap shows every layer of the work in one place — from the photo a shopper sees first to the sizing chart they check last.
Manufacturer imagery so shoppers recognize the product at a glance.

Researched and written to explain how the wrap works and why it matters.
- Bands overlap like a bandage for firm, even support
- Trims down as swelling goes down
- Adjustable hook-and-loop straps
- Machine washable for easy care
Every size and length set up as a selectable option.
Placed on the page so buyers can measure before ordering.

Selected work
Three listings, three different puzzles

Farrow Basic Lower Leg Wrap
An adjustable leg wrap with bands that can be trimmed down as swelling decreases — the page had to explain that clearly.

Juxta-Lite Ankle-Foot Wrap
An inelastic wrap covering the foot to just above the ankle, adjustable for day or night wear.

Transition Liner
A liner worn under a leg wrap, with compression built into the foot — sold in two colors and five sizes.

How the work flowed
From manufacturer file to live product
Beyond the product pages
Keeping the business and the website in sync
Analytics, made readable
I reviewed the site’s traffic and activity data and turned it into simple charts and summaries the company could use to talk about how the store was doing — no dashboard expertise required.
A working partnership with IT
Catalog changes and site health go hand in hand. I worked alongside the company’s IT contact to flag issues and keep the storefront functioning as new products went live.
What it shows
Technical detail, made shoppable.
Translating technical informationTurning manufacturer and clinical detail into copy everyday buyers understand.
E-commerce attention to detailAccurate variations, categories and assets — the small things that prevent wrong orders.
Connecting content, data and ITWorking across marketing, reporting and technical teams to keep a live store running well.
Have products that are hard to explain online?
I help businesses turn technical product information into pages, ads and content that people can act on.
