I never knew…the syrup universe was this incredible. The thought of having to choose one for the Williamsburg Decadent Pancake Syrup Award seems almost unfair. Do I really have to choose just one. My mouth is watering just compiling this list. I am going to have to break them down into subcategories of the Williamsburg Decadent Syrup Award. So they will be Williamsburg Decadent pancake syrup awards.

- This goes to the alcohol based syrup that sounds yummy
- The winner is whiskey maple
Chocolate Overload Award
- This is the chocolate blowout syrup for the sugar junkie pancake lover
- The winner is hot fudge
Just Tasty
- Just overall great sounding syrup
- The winner is coconut
Fruity and Delicious
- It is unfair to pit fruit syrups against vice ingredients like whiskey and chocolate, hence this award.
- The winner is strawberry
Off the beaten path syrup award
- This is just for the weird sounding choice
- The winner is watermelon
Mouth watering syrup
- This is for the syrup that sounds so good your mouth waters
- The winner is Buttermilk caramel
Other Thoughts
I walk away from this pleasantly overwhelmed. I had no idea there were this many choices beyond the obvious ones. And most of them sound very good. In fact it is making me think some of my pancake consumption habits. I mean on the one hand pancakes, even plain batter with maple flavored syrup is like pizza it that there are really no bad pancakes. There are just levels of deliciousness.
I have a few dream syrups I would like to see created. These do not exist to my knowledge. They are inspired by what I think would taste really really good. Here we go

- Cinnamon Vanilla Maple Butter
- Chocolate Butter Pecan
- Peanut Butter Crunch (pecan with rice krispie pieces)
